| How to Review and Contact Listings: |
Browsing our database of roommates is easy. There are two types of members to browse within our site: Those with room(s) to let, and those looking for a room. Both browsing methods are outlined below.
- If you have a home/room to share/rent:
- From the home page, click the "Review Listings" link.
- Choose your roommate gender preference and age range preference.
- Select the state where your home/room to share/rent is located. Note, if your state does not appear as an option there are currently no active members/listings for your specific state (in this situation we recommend you post your listing in order for others to locate you).
- Where it states "I'm Searching for:" select "A Roommate That Needs A Room" and then click "Display Roommate List".
- Sort the listings by clicking any of the heading links (Gender, City, Age, ...).
- Click the numbers at the bottom of the page to navigate through the pages (25 records will display per page).
- To view the details, and/or to contact a specific listing/member, click the person identifier link in the far left column.
- If you are looking for a room to share/rent:
- From the home page, click the "Review Listings" link.
- Choose your roommate gender preference and age range preference.
- Select the state of your desired room to rent. Note, if your state does not appear as an option there are currently no active members/listings for your specific state (in this situation we recommend you post your listing in order for others to locate you).
- Where it states "I'm Searching for:" select "A Room To Rent" and then click "Display Roommate List".
( HELPFUL HINT: If you do not find a desirable roommate with a room for rent consider searching for a roommate that is also looking for a room for rent. Then search for an apartment to rent with your new roommate. You can do this by selecting "A Roommate That Needs A Room").
- Sort the listings by clicking any of the heading links (Gender, City, Age, ...).
- Click the numbers at the bottom of the page to navigate through the pages (up to 25 records will display per page).
- To view the details, and/or to contact a specific listing/member, click the person identifier link in the far left column.

| How to List Your Information: |
Listing your information is simple. The steps to do so are as follows:
- From the home page, click "Post Your Free Listing" link (even if you desire an advanced listing).
- Entry page one- fill out your personal information and then click "continue."
[Remember your password (the password is case sensitive). You will need your password to access other member's contact information and for future account maintenance. If you forget your password email your name, email address, and current state to password@allaboutroommates.com/arizona/phoenix. We will then email your password to you]
- Entry page two- enter the desired attributes of your future roommate and then click "continue."
- Entry page three- choose your desired account and then click "continue." If you choose the free account, it will be saved and activated immediately. If you choose an advanced account, verify your information is correct and proceed to our secured credit card payment section.
[ If you have chosen an advanced account associated with a fee, you must complete the saving process (or view other pages on allaboutroommates.com/arizona/phoenix) before you leave the site. If you don't save, your account will be active, but your advanced account features will not. To enable any of the advamced features after you account has been created, you will need to log-in and update your account.]

| How to Update Your Information |
Updating your information is simple. Once your account has been activated, you may update/change your information as often as you like at no charge.
- From the home page click the "Members Log-in Here" link.
- Enter your email address, password, select "Manage Account" and then click "continue" (note your password Is case sensitive). You may now change any allowed field in the entry forms. If you are activating or deactivating your listing, the effect will take place immediately. By deactivating your listing, your listing will be unavailable to others. If you are using the Auto Email feature others will not receive email about your eligability, however, you will continue to receive email.
- Upon completion of your updates click "continue." All changes will take place immediately.

| How to Deactivate Your Account |
There are two ways to deactivate your account:
- Make your account inactive for now (information is retained in case you will want to activate the account again in the future).
- From the home page click the "Members Log-in Here" link.
- Enter your email address, password, select "Manage Account" and click "continue" (your password Is case sensitive).
- Click "continue" on the next two entry pages. On the third entry page you will notice "Account Status" selections.
- You may now deactivate your listing by choosing "Inactive/Private", the effect will take place immediately. By deactivating your listing, your listing will be unavailable to others. If you are using the Auto Email feature others will not receive email about your eligability, however, you will continue to receive email.
- Permanently remove your account.
- From the home page click the "Members Log-in Here" link.
- Enter your email address, password, select "Manage Account" and click "continue" (your password Is case sensitive).
- Click "continue" on the next two entry pages. On the third entry page you will notice "Account Status" selections.
- You may now permanently remove your listing by choosing "Mark For Removal". Once your status change has been confirmed, you must contact our staff within one business day to reverse its effects. After that, your account information is permanently removed from the site database. No refunds, other than the ones defined in the refund policy, will be provided for intentional or accidental removal of your account.
[Note, all accounts are limited to 1 year. After 1 year your account will be permanently removed.]

| Security Features |
All About Roommates was designed to allow people to find roommates without exposing personal information. All About Roommates has several security mechanisms integrated into the site, as well as some external security features.
- Method of Contact
- All About Roommates requires the contactee and contactor have valid accounts (A visitor must establish an account in order to contact other members). You can feel secure in knowing that all established contacts are from All About Roommate members.
- All About Roommates only requires a valid e-mail address for contact information (which is never displayed to any visitor). You can be reassured that your phone number, or any other form of personal information is never leaked.
- All About Roommates has a proprietary method of contacting members. We allow our members to contact eachother via e-mail. However, all e-mail addresses are masked (unavailable to the other person). Your "real" e-mail address is never exposed to the other member (sending or receiving), when initiated from our site.
- Secure Payment
- All About Roommates has teamed up with one of the leading experts in internet billing, Authorize.net. They have been in the business for many years and have one of the most secure internet billing systems in place, including Address Verification Systems and Fraudulent Roommate Credit Card Detection. | Account Status Definitions |
Following is a list of all status values and their meanings:
- Active
- An active AllAboutRoommates.com account signifies that others can see your listing during a search.
[If you have a paying Account the auto e-mail feature will continue to send qualifying daily e-mails whether your account is active or not. You must de-activate the auto e-mail feature if you do not wish to receive daily e-mails]
- Inactive/Private
- An Inactive AllAboutRoommates.com account means that others cannot see your listing during a search.
- This account can also be considered private if you have an inactive Account. You can review the contact information of others while browsing and receive automatic e-mails. However, your listing will no longer appear on the site.
- You may re-activate your account at any time prior to the expiration date (all listings expire after 1 year).
- Marked For Removal
- If you mark your account for removal, you have requested to be permanently removed from the AllABoutRoommates.com directory. An automated process runs daily to remove all accounts marked for removal.

| Requesting Your Password |
- If you have forgotten your password, you can request it by using our password request form. Upon completion your password will be emailed to you within 3 hours. If you do not receive your password within 3 hours please notify our staff at: password_problems@AllAboutRoommates.com.
- AllAboutRoommates.com is not responsible for stolen passwords. Please make your password non-trivial (use numbers, symbols, mixed case, etc.).

Payment Policies:
- AllAboutRoommates.com accepts Visa or Mastercard payments.
- AllAboutRoommates.com uses Authorize Net to authorize the credit card transaction. All transactions are performed on Authorize Net's secure site.
- For your protection, AllAboutRoommates.com DOES NOT store/maintain any credit card information.
- If your credit card has been successfully authorized, Authorize Net will send you an e-mail regarding the transaction. Please keep this e-mail as a form of receipt/payment.
- All About Roommates is a subsidiary of Rent and Sell, Inc. Your credit card bill will display the Rent and Sell, Inc. name, not All About Roommates.
